A reflection work after going to the forest in 2010.  This gives me a few sketchbook ideas, and ways to incorporate collage and photography into our work in the garden.

Where I've been.

I've been busy, but I miss writing, so I think you'll see more of me soon.  I've been teaching in a garden, and it has been a wonderful new experience for me as an educator, and as a member of a new community.

I also have some exciting news that I'll share soon, and I'm hoping for your support when I share it!

Using Our New Space

A few images of the classroom to begin the new year!  It was an exciting few days planning and creating the space, and I'm pleased with the way that it looks.  I'll take photos with more details soon, and we'll work out the kinks as the children get to know the space as a place to work and play.

I haven't been posting much, but I thought I would share some images from the classroom last week to bide the time!  The last picture is one of my favorite recent discoveries : paint mixing on a big piece of butcher paper, then drawing on the painting with sharpies.

I just got some film developed that, as it happens, was two years old.  These are some images that I took at the very small summer camp that I ran in Seattle for the eight weeks before I moved to Brussels.

It was a nice discovery.

Long, Long Ago

I'm looking back through photos as the year winds down to create each child's portfolio.  September feels like a very long time ago, but another September is right around the corner!
