Google+ bakers and astronauts: tiny treasures

tiny treasures

So many tiny treasures were made today - from sheep with many many hats to lollipops to the classic snail.

How can this tie in with our storytelling and bookmaking project?  Are there children who would be interested in illustrating with this medium?  Is that idea too abstract?

  1. What about photographing the clay creations to make illustrations for a book? Then making the pages on the computer and printing them out?
can't think of any good examples of this in existing children's books.. Will think on it!
Love the blog. I trained with Lela Gandini at a conference quite some time ago so this is near to my hear!

  2. That is what I was imagining, but I wonder how the children will understand that we either make one scene and adjust it to photograph each scene in the story; or they can make a separate clay scene for each scene in the story and we can photograph each one and save each one. An adult's understanding of how to go about this is quite concrete - but I'd like to see how they children might propose to do it.
